Alicia Moniz, AIA

Alicia Moniz is an award winning design architect with experience in downtowns, renovation, in-fill, commercial, civic and interiors projects. She has experience with comprehensive project development. Her over twenty years experience as a licensed architect includes pre-design services for feasibility studies and master planning, concept generation, entitlement approvals, community outreach, team management, construction document preparation, bidding, and construction management. Project experience extends to community centers, libraries, parks, airports, sheriff’s facilities, fire fighter’s facilities, public housing, streetscapes, offices, retail, restaurant and historic rehabilitation. Ms. Moniz established Moniz Architecture in 2005. Prior to establishing Moniz Architecture, she worked on public works and private projects in Sacramento area architectural firms. She was a founding partner of her predecessor firm, first established in 1993. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, and has served as a Commissioner and Standards Setting Committee Member for the California Board of Architectural Examiners.
